Commercial Curb Work That Doesn't Shut Down Your Property
On a commercial property, the curb isn’t just concrete. It’s the edge customers step over to reach the front door, the line delivery trucks back up against, and the first thing tenants see when they arrive. A broken curb can become a trip-and-fall claim, and a poorly planned curb job can block an entrance or a loading area for days. Commercial curb work has to fix the problem without creating a new one.
We plan commercial jobs around how the property actually runs. That means phasing the work so entrances and loading areas stay usable, keeping a safe pedestrian path open around the work zone, and scheduling around peak business hours wherever the permits allow. Before the job starts, you get a written scope and an itemized quote your management team or ownership can approve, plus certificates of insurance for your files.
We handle every type of commercial curb project, from repairing cracked curbs along a storefront to replacing sunken curb runs at a warehouse, installing new curbs for a parking area, or restoring curbs after utility work. When a DOT violation is involved, see our guide to NYC DOT curb repair.
What Commercial Clients Get:
- Certificates of insurance: COIs issued to your property manager or owner, with additional insureds named on request
- Approval-ready quotes: written scope and itemized pricing for your management or ownership review
- Phased scheduling: work sequenced to keep entrances, driveways, and loading areas open
- Permit management: DOT permits filed and kept on site for the duration of the job
- Pedestrian safety: protected, accessible walkways maintained around the work zone
- Closeout package: before and after photos and permit documentation for your records

Commercial Concrete Curb FAQs
Do you provide certificates of insurance?
Yes. We issue certificates of insurance to property managers, owners, and general contractors, and can name additional insureds on request. Let us know your requirements when you request a quote.
Can our business stay open during curb work?
In most cases, yes. We phase the work so entrances and loading areas stay usable, and keep an accessible pedestrian path open around the work zone. If a safe path of at least five feet can’t be kept, a separate sidewalk occupancy permit is required, and we handle that as part of the job.
Can you handle curb work at multiple properties?
Yes. Management companies can work with one point of contact for curb work across several buildings, with separate scopes, quotes, and documentation for each property.
Are there special sidewalk requirements for commercial districts?
In some cases, yes. In certain high-density commercial districts, NYC requires pigmented concrete sidewalks with saw-cut joints instead of standard concrete. When curb work at a commercial property involves the adjoining sidewalk, we build it to the requirement that applies to that district.
How much does commercial curb work cost?
Cost depends on the length of curb, the type of work, whether the curb is plain or steel-faced, permit requirements, and site conditions such as phasing, traffic, and pedestrian protection. We provide an itemized quote after a site visit so your team can review and approve it.
